Applied Behavior Analysis: Its Use at Home and School

This webinar covers Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), a proven and effective way of teaching children with autism. Different aspects of ABA task analysis, prompting, shaping, and rewarding are used to help the child learn. ABA can also be used to help decrease inappropriate behaviors and teach new alternative behaviors. The practical application of ABA and specific examples are discussed

Dr. Dawn Holman
Dr. Holman received her BA in Psychology from UCLA, where she worked with Dr. Ivar Lovaas for the Young Autism Project from 1991-1993. Dr. Holman is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Masters in Clinical Psychology. She received her Doctorate in Educational Psychology from USC in 2003. Dr. Holman has worked in the field of behavioral therapy as a Senior therapist and Clinical Supervisor since 1991, first at UCLA, then at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders for 8 years. Dr. Holman has also been a member of the Board of Directors of the San Diego chapter of the Autism Society of America since 2004.
