Current Moderator

Nancy Bernotaitis: In 2000, when her youngest son was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3, Nancy Bernotaitis began the confusing, frustrating, and sometimes extraordinary journey through the autism maze. In 2006, Nancy helped found the current Dayton Chapter of the Autism Society of America and remains an active member of the board. Under her direction, the chapter has organized a successful annual 5K Walk/Run for Autism and an annual Autism Conference. She has made it her life’s mission to support other families living with autism and to create a bright future for her son and others like him. She is a regular contributor to AutismToday.com and uses her experience, humor, and positive attitude to share treatment options, encouragement, and personal stories of her family’s life with autism.
